Wee in shoes
So DD is toilet training... we had an accident in her shoes... and now they really smell!!!! I've resigned that pair of shoes to the bin but how can I prevent them from going smelly again? Is there a trick? I think the wee may have sat in this pair of shoes for a while before it was noticed. And kids shoes are expensive!!!
TIA

I"m not sure what kind of shoes they were, but I am partial to throwing my kids shoes into the washing machine every once in a while. Of course if they are those cool runners with lights in them, you can't do that though. Also, maybe some of that 'Fabreeze' (sp?) or some type of upholstery cleaner may do the trick?

bicarb or vinegar?? I used that to get the smell of puppy wee out of our carpets when he had accidents XD

While the boys were TT I kept them in shoes that could go through the washing machine most of the time.
Other than that I have no idea what to do about stinky shoes.

they're leather ones from Target - just a pair of their kids shoes. The current runners she has for creche aren't leather. they are imitaion suede on top but she's scuffed most of that off! Very trendy looking now! Her "good" pair of runners are leather... they can't go in the machine can they? Should I invest in canvas shoes? But what about keeping her little walking machines warm for winter? Sorry - Mrs Clueless here...
ETA: Oh! Forgot to add - no accidents at creche today! WOOT!
