Hi,
I'm interested in purchasing the Swiss Strolli Rider attachment for my current pram as an alternative to a toddler board/twin pram. Has anyone bought/used one of these for their toddler? I would love to hear from you.
They are selling them on the mummas mate website for anyone keen on checking out this new innovation.

Hi Jellybean. Our DS's are same age :D.I haven't used one but I checked them out. My issue would be no back support, I think they would get tired very quickly on it, my ds normally has snacks or a drink in his pram which he couldn't on the rider. I just brought a double stroller because I don't want to be restricted with the time I am out of the house or be pushing a pram and carrying a toddler. I don't even think he is quiet ready for a toddler seat. He still sleeps 2 hours a day and if he needs to have a sleep in the pram he can (not that he does very offen) but he often lays back, watching everything and just chills out. I couldn't see him sitting up balancing and holding handle bars. Well thats just my :twocents: worth. Good luck with your decision.
i saw them the other day. and they look pretty good!
my only concerns are that it might be a bit *big* for a kid under 2. like mum2 said, a younger kid might not like sitting on there for long periods of time. i know that my DD always gets off her trike after about 10 minutes. and because there are no straps she just pops off and we go chasey :lol:.
but that said, they would do the same on a board.
ALSO, i am a bit finicky about width, and it does poke out just the eensiet little bit, probably enough to stop me going through doorways (we live in melb and on the old shop fronts the doors are narrow) and through checkouts.
i reckon though, that they look awesome for older toddlers when they can walk for the most part but can still get tired enough to want to sit for a bit ITMS...
Mmmm.... I was kinda thinking the same thing. They claim it is suitable for toddlers 15 months plus, but my DS is pretty small, and I'm pretty sure he is not quite ready for that yet. He will be 20+ months when #2 arrives, and I am planning on leaving him in his pram whilst the newborn is in a carrier/sling for about 3 months, so he'd be upwards of 23 months if and when he went onto the strolli rider.
But my other issue with it is that it does not provide the toddler with as much protection from sun/wind/rain as a double pram would- although I think it would be a great novelty for older toddlers on short walks in fine weather, and quick visits to shops etc.
I have heard that 2 year olds can go through a defiant 'I don't want to go in the pram' phase, so now I am thinking it would be great to have both a double pram and the strolli rider for those short periods when they don't wish to go in the pram. But I doubt DH will accept that assault on the budget! :rolleyes:

Hi, i checked out the pics. Very innovative. It looks like fun, but i too would worry about the lack of back support and possibly a sore bum! I had a buggy board and it was great until DS started jumping off whenever he felt like. Once i had to leave the baby and shopping in the pram and chase after him as he was heading for the escalator! Then there were times he wanted to eat or nap and we had no where for him. So after much thought I went out to get a dbl pram and it's solved all my problems :dance:
This looks good for an older child. I think a toddler should have a harness if sitting that high.
