Are you only planning on using only wool? I use PUL, fleece and wool covers over my fitteds (and I also use my longies during the day too as pants)
Is the majority of your stash fitteds, or do you have other types - pockets, AIO's etc?
I *think* I have around 2 shorties for Miss M, and a pair of longies, but have another pair on the way. I use PUL during the day for her though because I don't have a lot of wool covers for her or I use fleece covers. I have about twice that many for DS and that does me, but I do use PUL and fleece for him as well. Plus - I have a lot of pockets that I use, so not all my stash is fitteds.
I probably didn't help at all. LOL
Thank you for your reply.
I am going to use just terry towelling nappies and flannette if need be.
I also just want to use wool covers as have read up on them and am amazed at their absorption and also that you can sanitise by using the sun and only wash so often.
Just need guidence on how many i want to purchase(esp with them so cheap at Natures Child).
So maybe if i buy 4 pairs that will allow me to have extras.
Am still opent o suggestions though.
You don't sanitise the wool covers in the sun - you have to dry woollens in the shade (on a flat surface) You do only have to wash them once they get stinky though, which is probably around once a month here? unless they get pooped on.
Are you going to be using flats at night as well ? I would be worried about the chance of compression leaks with the combo of wool covers and flats - just because flats arent' as absorbent, as say, bamboo or something like that. It really is about finding a system that works for you though :D
