I have 3 lemon trees that produce for too many lemons for us to use. My sil said if you mop with lemon juice it keeps spiders away. I havent tested that yet but what I want to know is:
Is lemon juice antibacterial?
Does it go mouldy if used? eg I dont want a nice lemony clean floor one day and a green moss patch the next.
Does the citric acid eat away at things like paint or varnish?

Been in my book again and found these uses for lemons.
Rust Stains: Dip lemon in salt and scrub to remove stains.
Emergency Shampoo: Mix 1 egg and juice of 1 lemon and wash hair in cool water
Hand lotion: Mix equal parts of olive oil, lemon juice, honey & glycerine and store in a bottle
To freshen a room: Stand a bucket of water containing slices of lemon in a smelly room

I wouldn't imagine it would start to go mouldy... it's just the juice part. And if you got any of the pulp anywhere the worst I think would happen is that it would dry up into something small and crusty looking XD
Apparently you can use it to clean your shower with, and polish brass and copper.
It can be mixed with bicarb soda to make a cleaning paste
AND, you can cut one in half, sprinkle bi carb on the lemon and use it as a sort of spunge to rub stains out of things and remove rust...
Have fun! If you're really that desperate to get rid of them you could cook me a lemon merang pie and post it over ;) Yum yum!

Lemon juice is really good at getting rid of mold actually - I use it in the shower. Next best thing to the sun for mold!
Sorry I had to leave my post unfinished but had a family emergency.
Will find more uses hopefully a bit better than the last lot when things settle down in a few days.

The emergency was that DH was playing netball against his students and ruptured his Achilles tendon and was operated on that night. He hopes to be home tomorrow, then months of recovery.
Funnily enough I came in here to start a post about the wonders of cleaning with lemons (a bit sad, really, but I was excited) and I found this post!
I just used two lemons and now have a clean brita filter, a clean kettle and a clean microwave.
I cut a lemon into 8 parts and just used it like a mini sponge/scrubber in the brita filter jug, inside and out. It lifted all sorts of grossness and it looks like new.
I then put some lemon wedges in the kettle with water and boiled it, then wiped down the inside of the kettle- took most of the brown stuff off.
I took the water from the kettle, with lemons still in, and put it in a micro container and zapped it in the micro for 2 minutes, then went and wiped down the inside and all the mank came away really easily.
Lemons rock as a cleaner!!! I feel like Shannon Lush!
(as well as making awesome lemon tart....that's next on my list!)
Do you like lemon cordial? My DH makes it whenever we have plenty and it lasts for ages in the fridge.
If you do keep bottles to put it in.
