HPT show BFN but blood test BFP?

My AF is 8 days late and it is never ever late, but HPTs say BFN. Having a blood test tomorrow and won't get the results until Monday. I am going crazy waiting.

Have any of you had BFNs on HPTs and then later discovered you were pregnant?

Will a blood test show even the tiniest amount of HCG?

I hope you're UTD!! I was going through something similar to you lately, where I was 4 days late (and like you I'm never late!) and I got 3 BFNs in the last few days, wondering if I was pg. Doc told me to wait a week before having a BT but AF arrived today :( Apparently, sometimes the HCG levels are too low to detect on even the most sensitive HPTs.
My friend at work told me today that she was a week late when she got pg last year, and the HPTs all showed BFN, and then the BT confirmed a positive a week later.

So there is still a great chance for you hun!!

I had a very faint BFP on a HPT, then 3 pos HPT's, then a neg HPT at the Dr's,then a pos BT, then another neg HPT at the hospital then a rise in the HCG levels (from 49-378 then to 620) which went on for a week but I eventually miscarried :(

My GP said to me that HPTs were only marginally less sensitive than blood tests. Good luck though!

Hope it all works out well for you! I had 3 negative HPT and then a very low Positive on blood, HCG was about 55. As it turned out I had ovulated late after a M/C and bub had implanted later in my cycle. I was 3 weeks 2 days pregnant when that HCG was found although my period was a couple of days late.
