35wks - Transverse - chances of VBAC?

I know babies can move rather quickly, but it appears bub's is laying in a transverse position, with his butt nearest um, the opening - with his face looking up towards my heart.
A week and a half ago he was on his way downward - setting us up nicely for a VBAC.
Today the Dr says - if you go into labour head straight to the hospital as you'll be needing (another) c/section...

Anyone else heard this news at around 35 wks and managed to avoid a c/s? Please - I need the inspiration and positive thoughts!

Yes, my sisters bub was that way right up until about 37-38 weeks and then she had an app at the hospital and they turned bubs around...
She went into labour 40+3 weeks and had a completly natural birth..

Yep - me :D DD was transverse until 36+ weeks, flipped to breech :rolleyes: and then turned head down at 38 weeks on the day we went for an ECV. I got my drug free VBAC at 39w3d.

Their main concern with labour commencement and a transverse lie is the risk of cord prolapse (because nothing solid is blocking the outlet) which is why they want you at the hospital ASAP and a c-section.

My 9 pound 8 ounce daughter was transverse, then a frank breech - she turned at nearly 40 weeks and I had a successful VBAC but at home.

I'd suggest acupuncture and chiropractics to help align your pelvis so baby has a chance to settle in an optimal position.

Also, it sounds dumb but talk to your baby and ask them to move! I swear it helped!

Finally, dont worry to much! You still have time and babies dont often try to come out transverse.

This bub was breech at 32 weeks, then was transverse till about 35wks.

I was starting to get really concerned but thankfully at my last appt at 35wks bub was head down and ready to go.

It's stressful (not to mention uncomfortable), but you still have plenty of time :hug:

My DD was breech at 36 weeks... I was so upset. She ended up turning on her own within a few days.
