Frothy Posset

At DD (4wks) last fed (BF) instead of bring up some milk like she always does she bought up what looked like foamy/frothy salvia. She settled quickly from the feed but did continue to be a bit foamy at the mouth.

She then woke up after 2 hrs (which is unusual for her) and just screamed, I tried to feed her to see if she was hungry but wasn't interested. She continued to be a bit foamy at the mouth.

She has once again settled but just wondering if I should be concerned by the foamy/frothy salvia, parcticularly that she vomitted.

Our DD got a lot more "spewy" after the first few weeks (she's currently 9 weeks old). Some of her spews are just milk, some are more like curds, and much nastier smelling. Sometimes they are more like mostly saliva. I think this is all well within the normal range.

Personally, if your DD seems otherwise happy, I wouldn't worry about it. I would probably mention to the MCHN though, at the next visit, but I'd expect them to say it's nothing to worry about.
