Yup, my DS has been doing that for quite a few weeks now. Gets very high pitched in his "chatter" and puts in the squeal every so often. I'm hoping it will pass soon but I take it as a sign that he's either over-tired or over-stimulated or both and get him down quick smart.
MINE!!! Argh! I hate it!
To make things worse, DD, who is 25 months joins in and they both squeal back and forward. Thankfully, if I can get her to stop then DS eventually stops too. If DS is tired in the car, it is particularly bad and his highchair is the other place that squealing really takes over.
Both my kids have been squealers - my poor ears!
Just realised that your post relates to 12 month olds :o
Does that mean I'm in heaps of trouble if DS is doing it now already at 4 months???
None of that in our household..... I probably shouldn't say that though cos it could be just around the corner.... hopefully not..... touch wood. I just get a grumpy little man who chucks food or his dummy all over the place whilst doing a whingy cry.
