Pin Curls!
Ok NaeNae give me your tips...
I've done it a handful of times now and ended up with very curly albeit frizzy hair...
I think I've been taking them out wrong or something!
I haven't used product yet, I've done them wet and slept it in them and done them dry for half a day and still get the similar result.
I've also been making sure the ends are tucked into the middle and have been pinning them down flat. I've watched a billion you tube vids lol and I'm doing them right but I still end up with frizz! Is it because I'm not using product? or is my hair just too curly for pin curls?
I love the scarf look, and if I can get away without any heat (ie hot curlers) I'd prefer too... then I've got reason to start a scarf collection :D

 I just pm'd you how I did them. It took me ages to get it and it takes ages for me to create the right "style" all the details are in my pm.
I hope it makes sense.
I love the scarf look as well and often just throw my hair up in one when I am cleaning around the house.

Try setting your hair in rags as an alternative to the pin curls, gives a similar look but on my hair I found to do thick chunks not too tightly wrapped (but not too loose that they fall out over night) gave me thicker looser curls, the thinner more tightly wrapped the same type of curl.
It helps to have someone there too I could never do rags by myself.

How does Claire from ANTM get her hair to fall like that? Anyone know?
I'd try rags too Cai...

Ad bought me a You Curl for mothers day... its awesome!!!!
I can do big chunky loose curls, all the way to ringlets..... :D
I used to rag, but dont have time now.. You Curl takes a few minutes for big loose curls....but I guess you have the heat damage too....

OMG OMG....
I just found an AWESOME link...
And apparently a chopstick helps reduce frizz...

This is EXACTLY what I want! I guess I'll have to play a bit more!

I'd put a tiny bit of wax on the ends of your hair.

What a great tutorial!!
Love her cut too its a great length for the style she wears, mine was always cut 4 inches in layers.
I would never had thought of a chop stick to pull through the curls makes good sense as does the wide tooth comb that would save on fingering the curls back into shape

I so want to do this but I think I mght have to get my hair cut shorter first as it's getting quite long and it's very thick AND the same length. I'll check out that link Cai. Thanks for starting this thread :) I really need some inspiration to start me off on my new decade.
