Almost walking!
Hi There!
My DS is sooooo close to walking and took his first 2 steps yesterday before plonking on his bum again. We have noticed that he is "wired" and very unsettled and he behaved like this just prior to crawling.
When they have big developmental leaps like this, does it cause them to be a bit unsettled? It's like someone has given him red cordial at the moment! hahaha - He doesn't want to sleep, just wants to be up and moving. It's so cute but tiring at the same time! haha

so much to learn in this big world, i wouldnt want to sleep either.

My little guy who was born on the same day as Joshua is much the same, Powelly. Must be always, always moving and trying to stand and walk.
I've heard this 'unsettledness' is very common before developmental milestones. Their little brains are trying to work so much out! Peter was like this with crawling too.
I'm totally excited about him walking- how about you?? Or will it mean more chasing them around?!
:D

yay well done to your LO!!
Ashton started walking a few weeks ago, and he was the same! Didn't want to have his naps or sit down and play, just wanted to go go go go all the time. He's settled down now :)

My DS has been walking for about a month now and is still "wired", as now he can now go places, knows he has the capabilities to do things, but still does not have the skills. He is trying to climb things, like the safetly gates. He tries to go head first over the side of the couch to get down. In some ways he more frustrate as he is too short to get to things.

Ah it's good to know it's all normal behaviour! He is just adorable and his little face lights up when he tries to take those steps unaided! It's truly amazing watching them!
Amberj, shame we don't live closer as our boys are soooo similar (and being born on the same day) we have a lot in common! I'm with you, so looking forward to him walking but also pondering all the running around! haha
He is also getting his 2nd molar at the moment so he's had a pretty big couple of weeks! I just hope he masters it without too many sleepless days!
