item isn't located in suburb advertised - do i still have to take it?
Hey guys,
I won an ironing board on ebay for $10, emailed them last week saying we had swine flu and didn't want to spread it, but was happy to pay via paypal until i could get there. Person writes back saying no worries, i'm advertising for a friend, just call them on xx when you are ready.
Got DH to call today, and the person says that they forgot to change the item location on their add. They are no longer 15-20 mins away, but now in Bundoora which is like 50+ mins away depending on traffic. Or they can take it to their work, which is still on the otherside of the city.
The thing is, part of the reason i bid was on the item location, i would never have bothered for a $10 ironing board if i knew i ws going to have to go that far.
Do i still need to take it? Should i offer selling fees to get out of it.. i feel like is shouldn't have to even do that, its not my fault they didn't fix their add up.
What would you tell them (dh just said i would email them)?
Thanks.
