Mooncup

Who uses a Mooncup?
I have had mine for 3 glorious months and i am totally wrapped in it (also have converted a number of friends in this time too!!!)

So i have a few user questions that i would like answered
like i find sometimes it is hard to 'retrive' :redface:
Any suggestions?

I use the ladycup - but same thing. Love mine! Don't know how I lived without it all these years

I find if it is too high then doing a few little pushes - like reverse kegals moves it down enough to grab.

I have one, and yeah sometimes it is hard to get at - but bearing down several times until it works down usually works for me.

sorry to hi-jack but is there really any difference between the different brands? (diva, lunette etc)

sneakysparkle - there is a slight difference in dimensions - width, length and flexibility of the silicone the cups are made of - ladycups also have colours:dance: If you have a look for obsidian stars site she goes through all the different ones.

I've had 2 and been using them since about 1999. Wow, a decade off pads and tampons! ;) My first was natural rubber Keeper but i got an allergy to rubber after 3 years of use so i switched to a medical grade silicon Diva after that. I'm still using my pre-baby size.

I had to cut the stem off mine because i am short inside and it digs into me just inside. Without the stem it is way more comfy. I too just bear down until i feel the bottom and then pinch it to pull it out. I still love it, 10 years on.

Do they come in differant sizes?
How do you know which size to get?

Brontide - most of the companies will have a sizing chart based on weight/height and if you have had children but the basic rule is large if you've had kids and small if you haven't

bron, yep. most have a pre baby and a post baby size. they tell you on the sites. I have a post baby lunette, and I had to cut the stem right off. I usually have the base of the cup only just inside so I find it easy to reach, any higher and I am uncomfortable. I started using it after DTD was comfortable post baby, so it did the last week or 2 of my lochia with no problems.

Bron the Diva only comes in 2 sizes, before and after (a baby) but i have found that before fits fine after (maybe not immediately after but 10 weeks after definitely). I am prepared that i might need another after having another baby or 2, and if i do i'm going to buy the mooncup as i am short inside and usually have to stick the cup fully over my cervix to prevent it poking out. The mooncup is the shortest on he market AFAIK.
