Nicknames... Well we call Brendan 'monkey' 'Brendybum' and I have also referred to him as 'Cyclone Brendan'
Tristan doesn't have any nicknames yet.
I used to call DD Blossom and Floss but now she seems to be more Fluffy Duck, or Fluff for short, and Queen (mainly because she is a drama queen)
DD gets called The Moo Girl and Horace (the horror head) :) For a while there she was called Bert because her chubby cheeks made her look like Bert Newton
DS gets 'booboo', 'fatty', 'monkey', 'buddy' and 'little man'
We used to call ds charlie bear until my dh said it way too fast one day and made it one word...hence we now all call him charbie or charbs.
Liebling is the sweetness swoozle.
Mitchell get 'Moo' and 'Mouse' cause he squeeked like a mouse in the first week or two ;)
Georgia got Bobblehead at the start coz you know how babies heads are a bit bobbly when they are little and trying to look around. My dh sometimes calls her chonks - I am not really sure why. But most of the time she just gets Ja (pronounced Jar)
Angus has had various nicknames depending on his age and behaviour.
Pre-birth he was "The Whalien" because babies look like an alien on the ultrasound, and he moved all the time, 'whaling' me - hence Whalien. That stuck for quite some time after he was born too as he was soooooo wiggly.
Now his main nickname (which gets used as much as his real name) is Wuga, or Wugit, and sometimes Wugitry or Little Tree. It came from when he was several months old, and he was given a green elephant soft toy. I was mucking around enjoying his babbling and so I asked him what we should name the elephant. He made noises that sounded like "Awuga" so that became the elephants name, and because he made the same noise a lot, became attached to him too! It's easier to say Wuga or Wugit though, and he does answer to it!
That's really cute Feathertop!
A family we know only has two boys (named Damian and Mark) who are only known by their baby nicknames given by their sisters. Even their mum calls them Pud and Barney. I had to ask the mum their real names recently as I just couldnt remember anyone using them for years! They are now in their 30s and still known by their baby nicknames :)
Lol that's too funny!
Xander has many names. Xandy-man, Xander-bear, X-man, Mr Xandy Pants, Mr Pants, Mr Bottom Pants (yes bit of a rear-end fixation), Mr Cheeky Pants, Mr Smooshy ('cos he's squishable) and Mr Squishy, Squishy/Smooshy rabbit/monkey etc etc.
Hmm think I need to start using his name more!
well to begin with I call my babies little head as when they are rapped in their blakies all you ever see is their little heads...
my older too are called the plods or Mr and Mrs and you would swear they were a old and married...
DS used to be big boff but then it changed to boffy and calling out boffy in the shops lets just say we got a few strange looks, I call him lesalls now ( a play on his middle name )
DD1 is monkey as she climbs everything and has always done so..
DD2 is buba or crylaya ( mixture of her real name )
On belly belly I call all my kids the winkies..
I still call all my sib by there childhood nic names lets see I have a JJ manners, chessy, snits, ponky, boris and pommy... dont you just love family! the funniest part is they all call me tali so I have the most normal nic name of all...
Lol mine only get called by their given names when I'm cranky with them :) There are plenty of nicknames around here!
Cookie, Knuckles, Nugget, Boobalah, Princess, Schnicky, Munchy-pants, Munchkin, Nakey (DD1 is an exhibitionist, to say the least lol)... the list goes on. Mostly just nonsense words that don't mean anything in particular.
Jazz gets 'smoosh-head'! Or 'little smoosh' or 'smooshy' or 'smooshmallow' or 'marshmallow'!
(shes a chubba ;) lol)
Or Jazz, Jazzy, Jazzy Jazz...
Today, though, its mostly been NOOOOOOOOOOOO! pmsl!
Leasha I love the name Jazz - our dog is called jazz (dont worry she is beautiful) she often gets Jitty instead of Jazz, it was jitterbug but then just got shortened to Jitty. Sorry to get slightly off the subject there.
hehehehehehe, its Jasmine, though she never actually gets called that LOL
