Peg Perego Duette for 2...

Has anyone got one of these prams? I had written off the single-file double prams, as I wanted the option of having my younger bub facing me, however I saw one the other day where the 2 bubs were facing into each other, with bub at the front facing Mum and the other facing out. What a fantastic idea!!
Why they don't show a pic of this seat arrangment on their website I have no idea....

Can anyone reccommend this pram or give me any pros/cons? How does it go outdoors? Is the steering wheel thingy easy to use? I'd love to hear from you.

Jelly bean I haven't got one but just had a look at a you tube video of some one reviewing one - don't know whether it would tell you anything you didn't know but if you haven't seen it it might be worth while - it goes through folding, seat changing etc. They do look pretty cool though compared with the standard tandem pram - the way she was using it it certainly seemed much more manouverable than a normal tandem

Just checked out that video Jaspen - thanks for that. The seat variations are even more flexible than I realised - BOTH can face Mum, both away, or they can face into each other, or back to back. How brilliant. That is certainly the first single-file tandem I have seen with so much variation.
The downside? The pram is heavy - 19.8 kg. It does look easy to manouver, however.
Maybe I can convince DH to get me a sidebyside lightweight jogger tandem for walking outdoors and the peg perego single file tandem for the car and shopping centre....:lol:

good luck with the convincing for two prams Jellybean and glad the video was helpful - that is heavy though I remember my first tandem weighed a tonne but I thought it was just cause it was old and had a big old heavy metal frame

I was only allowed/could justify the one pram thus why I ended up with the P&T it was the closest I could get for what I needed (offroad ability, small enough in shopping centre and relatively lightweight) but I think I read elsewhere that you definitely weren't after a P&T - I'm not sure what else would suit you but good luck with the research and you never know DH might agree with your theory on 2.
