I read somewher about plastic jugs that you get where water doesn't pour over the child's face when you rinse their hair. Has anyone got one and can tell me where/how much they bought it? Thanks!

I saw one of those the other day. I think it may have been in Target or Kmart.
I got one in the target sale for around $10. When I use it, it works great when dd1 uses it it's like Niagra falls lol. I got it cause she hated getting water in her eyes and she loves it so much because its elmo she wants to do it herself and doesn't care if her face gets wet:doh: kids
Yep, we have one, got it from BigW, but i've seen them at a few places now. Only works well if your kids put their chin up, but mine never believe me that if they listen to me they won't get the water in their eyes. Currently we are using goggles with DS, and DD is ok about me forcing her chin up. Once DS starts listening (hahahaha... like that will ever happen!) it will work well.
Do you mean a Drieyes? Google it, I have one and Nina loves it.
my friend invented drieyes- they are ACE!
have a look that their website- also support an aussie company just starting off!!!
highly recommend them as well!!
I've only ever seen those wavy head band things. I've also seen an invention on the ABC The New Inventors that did the job of keeping the water out of a child's eyes. I'm a bit of a tough mum on this though... I just tell them to close their eyes tight. Only takes a few seconds to rinse then I immediately pass them a dry washer. I don't like gadgetry much.
lol Bath, I'm a meany too! I just tell him to look up and mostly he will or we use the same prompts as swimming which is "kiddies name, ready go" before water going over the face.
You can get those jugs at Big W though, seen them there and I think Target. Having said that though you can use any jug cos it's really a matter of them keeping their heads back a bit kinda like at the hairdressers when they sweep the water back at the same time from the front of your face.
I also don't like gadgetry, but I succumbed and bought one of the special jugs the other day. Thank goodness! It actually works well. I was so over the drama about hair washing!
Although as Yael said, they need to tilt their chin up. My DS doesn't yet believe me either, but I just do it for him
I saw an Avon catalogue (the last one) and that had one in it too. They're just about everywhere at the moment.
I've looked at them in Target & thought about it & I've seen the wavy bands in our Chemist....but then I thought I would just let him tough it out LOL. I rember I hated water in the eyes & Mum would give me a face washer to put over my eyes when needed. Funny thing is I still don't like it, I can't even stand directly under the shower LOL!
LOL, I should mention that I got mine from ToysRUs!
Yep, I make sure I give verbal warnings like saying "1...2...3...go!" LOL I'm not a total dragon mummy LOL
:boohoo: When I was a child my mother held my head under the tap of the rainwater tank near our back veranda! It was awful. Cold and ran down the back of my clothes. So compared to that my kids have it easy! ;)
