DH just got his notice of assessment and it says on it that his return has been put in to the nominated acc with the receipt number blah blah blah but the money isnt in there.
I am sure that the NOA is only sent out after everythign is done and we have always had the money in the acc.
Is something up with this?
Maybe wait a couple of days, the bank may not have cleared it yet. If it's not in there by say Thrusday call them.
That happened to me, so I went back and checked the account details on my tax form, there was one number entered incorrectly - which means that now I have to wait for a cheque to be sent in the mail. So maybe recheck the account details.
I have always gotten my $$ before the notice of assessment. However ATO might not act until a few days has passed... Can't hurt however to call and check account details.
Yep that happened to DH - took weeks for the cheque to arrive.:
