Hi,
It's my MIL's bday in a couple of weeks and we were thinking of buying her a doula resource as she is training to be a doula at the moment.
I would love some help please!! I'm a bit clueless
Any ideas.
Cheers,
Helen

Ooh, what about some of the beaut books? Ina May's guide to childbirth, Birth Your Way, New Active Birth ... etc - does she have all those already? Otherwise, any of Anne Frye's texts are just the gold star standard (very exxy too).
Wheaty-heaty packs?
A birth pool?
Doula stickers or t-shirts? http://www.zazzle.com/doula+bumperstickers
A rebozo?
A homeopathic labour kit?
Oooh I know what I would love - a life-size model of a pelvis, and a baby doll of appropriate size to fit through.
Also labour-ade rehydration drink is a handy thing for her to take to births, a lot of the commercial ones like gatorade and even pedialyte have horrid checmicals in them, but a company called Reliv makes one called Innergize which I really like, it is lemon flavoured, all natural and contains magnesium and potassium as well. Perfect for labour. It's so important to avoid even mild dehydration during a long labour. It's about $30 for a large tin.
You can see what's on my wish list!
One of my clients recently gave me Ina May's Guide to Childbirth as a thank-you gift - I was stoked.
How lovely of you to think of such a supportive present.
Thanks Julie, you have some great ideas. I'll come back to this list when I need more pressie ideas.
Cheers!
