Red Hot Ear?

ds1 seems to have a really red ear and it's quite hot to touch. i'm wondering....is this a symptom of teething, or ear infection or what????

It could be either or both.
Take him to the Dr tomorrow as this can be a sign of an ear infection and you want to get it fixed. Apart from him feeling yuk he will be miserable at night.
If it's teeth he will most likely have red cheeks also and be rubbing at his ear/s
If you have a rough night and seems better in the morning still take him to the Dr. :)

HI Ginger - just saw this thread.

DS has it as well and he is getting top and bottom at the same time...his ears are red in colour and hot to touch...

Poor L. I have no idea what it could be G but I hope it is just a sign of teething.

thank you so much Rivlas- you were right, he does have an ear infection. Thank you for encouraging me to take him to the Dr.

No worries, just glad it will be better soon.
You only learn parenting from experience so when something new comes up it's new to you all.
One thing I learnt is that they are really sick during the night but in the morning seem better, still take them to the Dr as for some reason this happens and you think you don't need to take them then night time rolls around and you wish you had. :)
