I knitted my mum a shawl for her 60th birthday, out of second hand wool. Then I bought her a brooch to go with it from the Oxfam shop.
My grandmother and I always exchange gifts to charity for birthdays/Christmases etc, then give or share a block of chocolate. We both recognise that people out there need more than us, so this suits us quite well.
Crystal vase, with a lovely bunch of flowers in it!
