Fake cough? Real cough?

Recently my DS has been coughing a lot - but I can't work out if it's a real cough or just a new sound that he's discovered and is trying out. The cough doesn't sound bad - it sounds just like if you were to do a fake cough, but he is doing it quite a bit. He hasn't been sick (he's never been sick), so if he does have a cough I'm not sure where it came from. Do babies do this? Discover that noise and try it out? He doesn't seem unwell, I just want to make sure nothing bad is going on.

LOL yes, DD always does the fake cough, then laughs at herself, pmsl.

DD used to do a fake cough, she did it for quite sometime, we would often laugh about it caller her "faker" :rofl: you will know when the cough isn't a fake one, definitey sounds a bit meatier!

Ha ha DD does the fake cogh thing when she is excited!! Its really funny, it can get quite loud but there is nothing wrong with her!!

My ds did the 'fake' cough thing around 6 months also. I think he was just experimenting with a new sound ;)
