Night Pocket for DS, looking for advice fabric and style...
I am thinking about making up some night pockets to try for DS, as I am back to needing to boost the sposies, and I figure if I have to wash the hemp boosters, I may as well go the whole way and wash a whole night nappy.
I currently boost the sposie with a three layer hemp booster and microflece next to the skin. I also cover the sposie with a fleece or maz minky cover, but he is soaking through (or over) this. I think the problem is leaking out the top due to his figure, but I am using a walker huggies and a large cover, but they end up rolled down and he is wet in the middle IYKWIM. He is a side or front sleeper too.
DS is 14mo and about 11kgs, but he is pretty skinny in the hips, but he still had the bubba pot belly, hence the waist roll down (I think).
I have made him a few day pockets, PUL outer and suedecloth inner, but dont want him in the PUL all night. I think a pocket is easier for me, and I have plenty of hemp and microfibre to make up boosters/trifolds, plus I have a few already so a making up a trial nappy is not a big thing (she says )
I have bunch of Spotlight fleece, so I was thinking to try a double layer fleece outer (with an extra layer of the fleece in the wet zone) and a suedecloth inner. So you think that would stay dry enough, if it was stuffed enough?
Also, wondering if maybe a side snap would be better for DS? Or maybe shorten the rise but make the stuffers slightly thicker at the front?
Any opinions / suggestions etc greatly appreciated... TIA
