Why does this happen sometimes? My cake was looking all nice, had risen nicely. I come back and it's cooled and has sunk so it's just flat on top!!
BUT it was sooooooooo good, I think one if the best I've ever made, still nice and fluffy and moist, mmm....
Sorry to hear Heaven ... i'm no help here as i sux at baking cakes BUT baking slices well i don't seem to get them wrong, LOL ;)
... At least your cake still tasted nice ... would be worse if it looked brilliant and was unedible !!
(I usually make my disaster cakes into a pudding & loaded it up with icecream)
Pfft - that's what icing is for!
