Are profiteroles (custard filled ones) supposed to be kept in the fridge?
Due to a case of mummy brain i only just realised that i left the ones i bought from the supeermarket today out on the bench. they were in the refrigerated section so obviously are supposed to be kept cold...they were on the kitchen bench for about 4 hours. I had a couple for dessert then realised they probably should have been in the fridge :wall:
are they likely to 'breed' bacteria? I know the pastry would be fine but they are filled with custard...I am slightly paranoid about food,..but hope i dont get sick! Stoopid mummy brain :rolleyes:
