Hi I am not sure which is a better school, but I do know there are two state primary schools in Narangba, and there are a few private schools close by too. You could check the QLD Education website for details of the schools. We don't have preschool in QLD anymore - kids start Prep now at primary school if they turn 5 between 1 July and 30 June the following year. Eg. My DD is turning 5 in October, so she will be going to prep next year. Then the year after she will do year 1 and so on. For the year before your child starts prep, the options are basically Kindergarten or a day care centre. My DD is going to kindy this year - it follows the same terms as school and similar hours. If you google C&K Association of QLD, you will be able to find all the info about the kindys that they run. HTH!
Hi Julnatlau,
We are new to Narangba too. Just wondering how you went checking out schools in the area. We have enroled our DD at Jinibara next year as a prep. Still looking for daycare though for my other DD's.
Toni.
We are thinking about Narangba Valley, we haven't even looked into childcare yet.
I have heard NOTHING but good about NVSS (narangba valley state school). Its where i want my little girl to go next year... but the house we are moving too is 15 minutes away for doesnt fall in their catchment area. So currently trying to get special grounds acceptance.
Good luck
We have just got a house in Narangba and we aren't in the zone for Narangba Valley School. We are going to have a look at Jinibarra and Narangba State School. Let me know how you go!:D
Julnatlau, does Jinibara have a catchment?
We have decided not to bother about the special acceptance... the lady on the phone said she highly doubts we would get in so... pfft. They arent the ONLY school right?! :P
Why's that?
I spoke with Jinibara last week and they sounded fantastic. They actually select which class the students go into based on their personalilty, that really impressed me.
What do you know about NSS?
Love to hear your knowledge.... :D
I heard some rumors that Jinibarra had a bit of a bullying problem but I don't know how true that is. I have heard good things about Narangba State School apparantley it has a good reputation and its also a smaller school (which I like). I am going to both schools next week so I will let you know what I find out.
