Well I've been on bedrest for a while now *yawn* and I'm starting to become really, really bored of it now. What'd you do while on bedrest (other than watch TV all day ;))
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated! I have to last the next 12ish or so weeks ~ if she stays in that is! ;)

I was on bedrest on and off from 28 weeks due to a back injury and found it pretty mind-numbing!! We don't have a laptop so all I could really do was read, watch TV and call friends! :o I did get to catch up on watching some DVD boxed sets though-caught up on all the seasons of the L Word that weren't shown here! :dance:

Box sets ROCK!
Become a competition junky. There are millions on line and trying to come up with the right 25 words or less can be fun! And then you might even get prizes in the mail!!!
watch seasons of your fave shows? (like the box sets that others have mentioned) do crosswords and such? knitting? reading? seriously and im not kidding.. colouring in? hehe i love colouring in HAHA maybe i am just a big kid ;)
Okay now I know that this might sound like a completly nanna thing to do but how about taking up cross stitching.
I am sure you could get a really sweet design and do something which could then be framed and put in the babies room. Not only would it look nice but I think it would be nice to tell your child when he/she was older that mummy made this for you when she was waiting for you to be born. I am fairly sure you can get kits in the likes of Spotlight of Lindcraft and I don't they are that expensive.
How horrible for you! Hope it turns out OK and you don't get too bored.
My suggestions are:
- Knitting / other craft
- Learn a language
- Read entire series or authors of books (Jane Austen, Anne Rice etc)

I had a few things on the go:
Sudoko puzzle book
Crossword book
4 cross stitch patterns (I hadn't done any of that since high school)
a novel
I made some jewellery from my besties hens night as well.
maybe you can start a craft thing like cross stitch or long stitch or quilt making (yes a bit old fashioned but guaranteed to help the time fly) or start reading some books in a series etc?

A few more ideas...writing letters to family or friends you don't see very often/live far away, do you have old recipe magazines/cookbooks you can go through and start some menu planning for when bub arrives (also some great websites with stacks of recipes). Before DD arrived I started going through my collection and typing out favourite recipes and those I'd like to try into Microsoft OneNote- I created a bit of a 'recipe book' so that all the recipes I use and want to test out are in the one spot. Umm...puzzle books, do you sew/knit/crochet/cross stitch? If not maybe you could teach yourself? And if you don't have one, beg your partner for a laptop!!
the ideas here are nice...
if i had to do that here are some things i would do:
organise all our old and new photos - online order prints of those i dont have and get heaps of albums and arrange them all nicely (also maybe could do photobooks instead - all can be done online)
organise all my recipes - not books but i have heaps of magazines like delicious, donna hay etc so i could tear out recipes i like and organise them into a book/box/folder and then throw out the mags i dont need
print out emails from our travel - i used to write long and lovelty email home with all we got up to - and make memory books of them (in fact i think i will try to do that now). i would prob create a memory book from some of the trips for DH, i am sure he would love them
write letters to some of my relos overseas - email is good but some of the older ones would love a handwritten letter - and add some pics of our kids etc
i'd also be doing all the thank you cards for presents for Jacob, but i guess that's a bit premature for you to do LOL

I agree that box-sets are awesome. When I finished up at work and was waiting for Phoebe, and in the middle of the nights once she arrived, I got through 4 seasons of House. LOL!

I hear ya hun! I was on and off from 24weeks. I started Nates scrapbook if you're into that. Was eternally greatful for the laptop.
Pedicured my feet, manicured my nails, properly, not their usual 10 minute jobbys
Meditated a lot. That really helped as I'm not a great daytime sleeper.

if you are even a little crafty, making toy food out of felt can be easy, and then addictive, and then you try to do flashier stuff.
google felt fruit or felt sushi to take a look.
strawberries and carrots are really easy to start off.
