Exposure to Hand Foot and Mouth disease while pregnant - is it a problem?
I'm only just pregnant and DD has HFM. My GP sent me for a blood test saying it was to check my immunity to the virus and that it shouldn't be a problem if I had immunity but might need further action from my OB if I didn't.
Then I found out when they took the blood that it needs two tests with another set of bloods taken in two weeks time before anything can be determined.
I'm a bit confused if I should be worried, or it's more a routine thing.
If anyone with a medical background can clue me in a bit, I'd be most grateful.
