I just changed DD's nappy and saw some blood on her nappy and some in her poo. Freaking out a little, someone please tell me it's ok. Don't think she was straining and it is only a little bit, any advice would be appreciated, thanks.

Dianne

Anyone??
DS has this when he was quite young, about 5 months I think. From memory if it looks like redcurrant jelly then it should be checked urgently, if it is red it is most likely form a small fissure or intestinal irritation and best just to go to GP to get checked tomorrow.
DS was totally fine, turned out to all be ok.

Thank you so much, it was red so I'll take her to GP tomorrow just to be sure. Thanks again.

I'm sure it is probably nothing to worry about, but if it was me I would probably call the MCHN hotline just to put my mind at ease so I could get some sleep before taking her to the doctor tomorrow.
How are things Dianne? Did you manage to get in to see the GP?

I did take DD to our GP this morning and he assured me not to worry, he said if it happens again to take a sample and bring it in. Thank you so much for asking.

Glad to hear Bella is all fine!
