dance studio end of year performance

DD1 has been doing ballet lessons for the last 10 weeks or so. i just got a form about an end of year performance and it says i need to give them a 50 deposit for costume and thats all it says. i am wondering how much the WHOLE costume will cost and since they havent mentioned it i am assuming it will be expensive!!

has anyone done the dance studio thing with their littlies? DD1 is 3 years and i dont want to spend a whole heap of money on it if she is gonna freak out and not even go on stage and do the performance. what are your experiences with this?

also, its at some performing arts centre so do you reckon we would have to pay a lot for tickets too?? it is just freaking me out cause its not written down anywhere the costs of anything and i dont know what to expect.

i feel a bit wierd asking the other mums cause they are all a bit 'upmarket' looking.

I think usually you have to pay a fair amount for concert tickets - at least $30 each. The whole end of year concert thing can be expensive (and I know, I used to be a singing teacher!)

Maybe ring the dance school and just ask for more info - I'm sure they'd be happy to tell you more.

Just out of interest, what dance school is she going to?

its called steps dance studio. yeah i will give em a call, but am a bit embarrased cause i think i am probably only a handful of the ppl who are on a budget.
