Is she sick or am I being a worry wart?

The last few days DD has been more spewy than usual...I resorted to using a bib today because I was sick of having to change clothes every couple of feeds. It probably seems like she's bringing up more than she actually she is, but it certainly seems like more than she normally would. She had her 2 month vaccinations on Tuesday arvo, it wouldn't be from this would it?

Otherwise she seems fine, the chucking up doesn't seem to worry her too much, apart from probably the discomfort of being sick and the yucky taste in her mouth. Sometimes it will be right after a feed (so possibly just excess that her tummy can't hold), but other times it will be a while after a feed, right up until her next feed (and then it's really watery with a few small white specks in it..sorry TMI!, so it's obviously been digested already).
She is bright and happy, although has been a bit more grumpy/crying more than usual I think, but is playing and still loves having her nappy off. I think she is sleeping a little more though, this evening especially. She went down for her night sleep at about 7.30/8pm, normally she might have a little nap but wake up again and she will go down for her big sleep at about 9/9.30..but maybe she is just tired tonight. I don't know. She doesn't have a temp. Checked it a few times today and it's around 36.4 - 36.7. Her forehead does feel a bit clammy, but don't know if that's just me or from the weather we had today which was quite warm compared to what it has been.

I guess it's just the seemingly constant chucking up that is getting to me...do you think there is anything wrong with her or just a stage she is going through? Doesn't help DF has gone to Sydney this weekend so I am home alone with her for the first time!

I know I was told bubs can vomit due to the Rotavirus vaccine - this may be the prob. I was told if temp was ok and bubs seemed well then not to worry too much. I hope she feels better soon - I understand the anxiety associated with these wee things!

They seem to go through stages of spewing a bit more.
Nate who never ever chucks (but dribbles enough for 3 children) has days where he just seems to spew on and off.
Some kids are just 'happy chuckers'.
If she's still happy and drinking, I'd say it's just a phase.

Thankyou both! She is still hungry and drinking fine, so maybe it is just an after effect of the Rotavirus. The nurse said she may get a bit of diarrhea, but her poos have been no more runny than normal, she didn't say anything about vomiting though!

I feel a bit better now, hopefully she is feeling better soon. And you know everything always seems better in the morning!! Lol

You could call the nurse hotline in your state for help if you are worried. It's OK to contact the nurses or go to the doctor just because you are worried, and most doctors will be sympathetic about that. They understand about the concerns of new parents.

I'm very amused by the "resorted to using a bib" comment :) On a normal day we go through about 15 bibs, sometimes more, never less than 10 in a day. That's with 2-4 changes of clothes because of too much spew getting through to her skin. Amazing how different babies can be, isn't it.
