Hi All
I have a very yummy cookie recipe but it uses wayyy too much butter (140g). Can I substitute this with say milk?
I think the better is required to combine the mixture together.
Thanks!!!

I don't think 140g is tooooooo much butter, and no I don't think you can substitute... someone with more cooking theory will be able to answer better but I'm pretty sure the butter is important, not just to stick it all together.
no you cannot sub butter with milk.
The butter or fat in a recipe especially in baking actually is there for a specific reason.
140gms is really not that much butter. If you are worried you can sub butter with oil such as olive oil (dont use Extra Virgin as it is too strongly flavoured, use light olive oil)
If you want the best results, stick with the butter as it is given
Thanks Ladies!
Can you tell im a noob and baking??? ehhehe
I thought it was heaps because the cookies turned out a little bit too oily!
Will try them again this time with extra flaxseed for DD's eczema!!!
