1st FSH jab done!
Hi ladies :)
I'm on my first IVF cycle and after 3 months on OCP (!! how annoying to be trying for a baby and having to be on birth control -- time lengthened b/c I got a nasty flu just before I was supposed to start snorting synarel last month), I'm FINALLY on Puregon injections. I never thought I'd be so glad to be poked with a needle! Hubby did the first shot last night. I kept my eyes closed during -- but it wasn't too bad. Hubs is suspiciously eager to do tonight's jab. I think he thought his role as quasi-nurse was pretty darn cool. ;)

It's not so bad hey?
Good luck with it all!!

Thanks, Sue! Sorry for the late response; we were holidaying in Brisbane last week. :) Well, after a week of injections, we had our first ultrasound -- all good news!! Dr says there are about 10 follicles per ovary, and he's just a tinge worried about hyperstimulation, so he's knocked me down from 200iu to 150 on the Puregon. It looks like EPU is going to be Wednesday, rather than Friday as we'd initially thought. Dr said my ovaries are responding like a 16-year-old's. Fingers crossed we keep on this positive path!

That all sounds really positive!!
I had the same amount on my IVF cycle, 9 in each ovary. As long as your bloods are fine and don't suggest hyperstimulation, you should be fine. My Dr counted the follies and was like "woah" but when he saw my bloods he was cool with it.
I was a bit uncomfortable following EPU but that settled after around 3-4 days.
Good luck and keep us posted!
