Clomid Help Please...
G'day All,
I am new on here and have a few questions... My husband and I are trying to conceive again and have been prescribed Clomid... Here's my back story for you...
I have very irregular periods and I mean irregular maybe 3 a year... I was on the pill to maintain a monthly period but went off in July... And once again no period... The Gyno done heaps of tests and found no trace of Policystic ovaries or any thing and so he gave me Clomid... Now he said to start taking it that day as we had no idea where my cycle was at and that if I had a period to start taking it again on the 2nd day... I started taking it on the 8th September 2009 (5 days at 50mgs) finishing on the 12th Sept...Now that was done ...Then on the 18th Sept I got my period and the next day on my second day started another 5 day dose of Clomid... Now I am on day 4 of the Clomid and my period only lasted 3 days... My question is this... WHEN WILL I OVULATE??? I am so clueless at this point and confused... Can anyone help or am I a one off....
Please Help...
Regards
Nicole

Nicole, the only way you will know when you have ovulated is by having a blood test. In the meantime, I would follow the timings your doctor gave you and just DTD and see how you go. If it doesn't work on the first month, it's not the end of the world, it'll just give you a better idea of what to do next month.
Good Luck!

hi, when i was on clomid i had regular blood tests as well as internal ultrasounds to make sure there werent too many eggs developing!! I went through a fertility clinic so it was very closely monitored. my periods sound similar to yours so even on clomid my cycle was longer! the only way you'll know for sure when you will ovulate is with bloods to monitor your hormones, hope this helps?
