DS sleeps in a grobag and I am wondering which one to buy for summer. I have the 2.5 TOG for winter, but unsure weather to buy the 1.0 TOG or 0.5 TOG? I dont want to shell out for both. I am thinking with the lighter one I can always put another layer on Bailey? Our house is quite new so our insulation is pretty good so it doesn't get too hot or too cold here. Thoughts anyone? Especially any parents in Adelaide/SA in similar climate?

I am in melb and we used a 1 tog during summer and just varied what we dressed DS in under it.
i use the snugtime ones, much cheaper, i have .05 for summer
i have one of each, living textiles ones are 30ish or dreambags are 40ish
1 tog is good for autumn or spring, half tog is good but if it gets really really hot just a damp muslin wrap and nappy can work too
i use the dream bag and have two 2.5 tog and one 1.0 tog for summer. much cheaper than grobag! - i got the two 2.5 togs for the price of 1 grobag!
I used a 1 tog most of the year.... but i regulate the room temp with air con or heating so the seasons dont matter much!
I'm in Melbourne and we have 2.5 tog grobags (a couple of them, due to DD's habit of spewing on it 5 minutes after I put her down to bed).
I wasn't sure whether to buy another for summer or not. I am going to monitor the room temperature through the summer, of course, so will buy a lighter tog one if it's getting too hot. But I figured that I sleep under my doona for quite a lot of the year. It's quite a cool room, so there are not so many nights when I can handle just a sheet. For those nights, of course I'll put DD under a sheet or leave off a cover altogether. But I reckon that she'll be OK in her 2.5 tog grobag, with only a short-sleeved bodysuit underneath, on any night that I am comfortable under the doona.
Maybe I'm wrong on that - haven't tried it yet (she's only 5 months old). But that's the plan anyway.
I am also planning to open the zipper on the grobag from the bottom, to let more air through around her feet, on warmer nights, to help her stay comfy. Not sure if that'll work either.
If we have to buy more grobags I'll roll my eyes and do it. Aren't they a wonderful product! I am absolutely amazed at the beating ours have taken so far (our 0-6 month one was washed nearly daily for months) without showing any signs of wear. I absolutely plan to use them for future kids, if we have them. Definitely worth paying for, in my opinion.
I actually have all 3 togs. Oskar was able to wear the 6-18 month right through until 2 so did get a lot of wear out of them. Elijah is now using his old ones, so at this stage they've been in use for over 2 years and still look fantastic... that's just a point I wanted to add - I have really found them well worth the money for the originals.
At the moment, it's been really warm here (Qld) with night temps in our house not falling below about 23 degrees... both boys have been in just the 0.5 tog bags with Elijah wearing a short sleeve onsie and Oskar wearing a t shirt and shorts (cos I don't have any summer pj's for him yet). If the temp is below that they wear the 1 tog with long sleeve and singlet. If it's below about 18 then they wear winter pj's (t shirt material ones) with singlet and 2.5 tog.
