Iv been put on bed rest?
Hi All,
So iv been having cramps period cramping plus stretching pain last two days
I'm 17 weeks
went to the dr today he said he 'thinks' its normal stretching pain, and said the period pain is normal (which i didnt think was) during the second trimester?
He said i should take the rest of the week off and relax not do anything, and if the pain keeps up come back so he can do ultra sound
what do u think? im still worried about the cramping is bed rest ok? will it help ,what if something else is wrong and i dont know about it
Also when he was touching my tummy he was touching hard and he said he could feel movement in there, can he? can he feel movement already im 17 weeks is that possible ? coz i cant feel anything lol

I went through a stage where for a week or so around 18ish weeks occastionally I got preiod like cramping. I had a scan (not for that reason though) and everything was fine in there.
Not sure about the DR being able to feel movement though oO;; I have never had mine say that to me, but it can be possible I guess? They say usually mummy can start feeling bubs move around 16 weeks.
If he's told you to take it easy I would, and if they get to bad, or come with any bleeding head straight back to your Dr. Otherwise, to put you out of your misery demand to have a scan now to ease your mind ;)

I had a bleed at 16 weeks, went to the hospital. The midwife was feeling, with a bit of pressure aswell, and she also made that comment, that she could feel bub wriggle. She told me to watch, and i did - and yep! i could see slight movements but couldn't actually feel them!
Enjoy your week of bedrest, i hope you feel better soon

Period type cramping is definitely a normal part of pregnancy for me! Also normal for me is sharp pains anywhere around my pelvis.
Pregnancy can be quite a painful time for me!
