what type of birth with neck and upper back problems??

Hi everyone. I was wondering if there's anyone out there with really bad neck/shoulder/upper back problems and how having either a vaginal birth or ceasar affected them? I have a variety of disc, nerve and muscular problems and have very little upper body strength and tolerance for strain. I really don't care about the short term pain of labour but I'm worried labour and a vaginal birth will really aggravate my injuries sending me into acute pain for several months. So I'm figuring I might recover from a caesar better (even though its major abdominal surgery!). I don't seem to be able to get very clear or helpful advice from doctors or physios. Any advice would be great!!
