weight and ttc#2
ok so i am prob going to sound selfish and stupid but i just wanted to ask and get ideas.
I lost alot of weight just b4 i fell preg wit DD i was around 70kg when i fell preg. through the preg i put on heaps and was up to 100kg by the time i went into labour went down to 88kg after about 2 months then came back up to 98kg. i have managed to get back down to 90kg and i am still tryin to loose weight (happening very slowly).
BUT...... I would really like to start TTC#2 after chrissy which doesnt leave me much time to get rid of the 20kg i would like to. the whole prob is i am not to worried about loosing all the weight i just donw wat to get over 100kg and seens i put on 30kg while preg wit DD i am so worried about how much i would add to the weight i am now.
It isnt just the size that worries me it is that i get very bad knees and back when my weight is high so that is one of the main reasons i am worried.
What woudl you do? put off ttc or just try really had to loose some weight now and when preg try really really hard to eat as healthy as possible and exercise.
If we starrted to TTC around chrissy it just works out really well with everything else but my weight.

I haven't got any kids or been pregnant but i have witnessed both my SIL's pregnancys and they both with their first gained about 20kgs but with their second they didn't gain very much at all. One of my SIL's recently had her 4th child and she gained a total of like 9kgs. She didn't give in to cravings and she made sure she ate healthily throughout the pregnancy and she walked regularly.
You should do what you are comfortable with :)

I wouldn't delay TTC. I'd do exactly what you were considering.... try really hard between now and X'mas to lose as much weight as you can. If you went really hard core with diet and exercise you could lose quite a bit. Then when you're pg be really good with your food and hopefully you wouldn't gain as much. DH and I are going to start TTC #2 this month and I'm already planning to not put on as much weight this next pg. I put on I think about 18kg with DS (I only got to 35w1d). I lost 12kg straight away (within a few weeks) and then had to lose the remaining 6 after I stopped BF (nothing I did would shift it while my hormones were in BF mode). I got back into running after I stopped BF and have now lost 10kg in the last 4months. I REALLY don't want to put on 18kg again so I'm going to be watching my food while pg next time and restricting the chocolate and cheese :cry:
