bleeds - 2nd trimester / after orgasm/ chronic-thrush-related

Hi all,
So I am looking for women who've experienced something similar to me - or who can words of advice/wisdom...

I'm 24 wks today, first pregnancy. Have had a very easy, uneventful, healthy preg so far (knock on wood!!)

On Tues I experienced a smallish, painless bleed midday, which totally freaked me out, needless to say. Esp since bleeding in 2nd trimester is a bit more 'cause for concern' than first trimester. This is the first/only bleed I've had.

Anyway, this is TMI indeed BUT I must put it out there - the small gush of blood began after I'd experienced a few orgasms (NOT thru penetration, self-induced, external only). The bright blood wasn't much and died down after 15 mins, and has been trickling brown blood since (even today - Thurs - small brown blood on panty liners).

I immediately called my midwife (we've hired a private midwife- but I also see my GP for referrals etc and am booked into a hospital) and we kept track of the Bleed for the next few hours. She said as long as I'm A. Not experiencing any pain or cramping and B. There's no more fresh blood, only old brown blood and C. I still feel the baby move - that everything is okay and no need to rush off to hospital.

Anyhow, I am a worrier and yesterday rested all day except to go out to my GP office where I saw a Doc and explained things. She felt my tummy & we listened to the bub's heartbeat on the Doppler (needed reassurance!). She called Royal Women's and told my "case", at which point they said there was no need for me to go to emergency unless more fresh blood or pain. They did order a some blood work (Kleihauer and FBE) and I'm going back today in a few hrs to get results.

The GP said her theory is that it was caused by an irritation due to having been plagued with Thrush a LOT during the pregnancy, which can irrirate the vagina/cervix.

I know this is a mouthful - but anyway, HAS ANYONE ELSE EXPERIENCED "HARMLESS" random 2nd TRIMESTER BLEEDS? OR bleeds due to having had chronic pesky thrush?
OR bleeds after orgasm NOT involving penetration?????????

(p.s. TMI but my thrush symptoms have been non existent for a couple weeks, so I don't know if that's really the cause, since it wasn't actively flared up)

PLEASE write in if you've experienced - I need to chat with some women who've been in the same boat!! I'm going crazy thinking about this - but do feel that things are probably okay and it's just a 'fluke'.
