Kindy in WA 2010
My DD1 is going to Kindy from next year. It is not compulsory but I would love her to get more stimulation than I can give her and to make some friends. She will only be 3yrs 8 mnths by the time she goes and I am thinking she is just too young and won't cope. She is still very much a baby when it comes to being away from her parents and does not mix well with other children. What will happen if she does not cope? Will the school phone me to fetch her or what will happen?

Hi
I've found my DS#1 kindy teachers wonderful - they are so caring to the ones who are upset to be there and spend a lot of time with them. My DS#2 will also be going 2010 at 3 yrs 8 months and i think he will be fine. He has never been to daycare or anything away from me until this June where he started a local 3 year old kindy. he only goes one a week for 2 1/4 hours but it has made the world of difference to him. He has so come out of his shell and realised he is his own person and not just an attachment of his older brother! Do you have a 3 year old kindy in your area that you could try her with?
When they first start kindy they usually only do 1/2 days for the first few weeks to get them used to it gently but most of them seemed to settle in quickly.
