Bleeding throughout pg unexplained

Hi

I am 21 + 5 days pg with 2nd child (another boy!). My oldest is 8 years old and I have a SD of 9 years old.

Since 8 weeks I was bleeding on and off until 16 weeks and from then I have bled every day. I have bright red sometimes with cramping, sometimes lose clots (and with that a gush of bright red which scares me) but so far baby is very well and happy.

I know some women do bleed and the possible explanation is that the veins in the uterus are bursting (my placenta is fine and cervix is fine too) but just wanted to hear of other stories and if the bleeding did eventually stop etc. Did you stay on bed rest for the rest of the pregnancy?

I am so looking forward to getting to the next safe point of 24 weeks!

With my DD (who is now 8yo) I bled lots (bright red with clots too from memory) from about week 6 to week 12. Never any explanation about the bleeding. Still to this day have no idea but I went on to have a healthy remaining pregnancy, delivery and baby :D

Just wanted to let you know I had my baby at 24 weeks due to placenta abruption baby ok but poorly

Hi there Just letting you know my daughter had unexplained bleeding all the way through her pregnancy. It is very unsettling and I understand how you feel. Sometimes sorry too much info (lots of bright red clots and cramping) she is being induced tommorrow at 40 weeks so hang in there and good luck. ;)

Hello all :hello:, I'm new to this site, but really need some advice or feedback!

I have been experiencing irregular periods lasting only 2 days (normal 8) for about 3 months accompanied by weight gain, tender/swollen breasts, nausea, and hot flashes... normal signs of pregnancy, which led me to visit the dr. last Monday. The P/T originally came back negative, however the nurse discovered a faded second line upon their return from lunch (2x). I am currently waiting for the results of a blood test, however I am very fearful :pray:. I have a history of miscarriages (3 before daughter's birth & 2 after). My last M/C was in May 09 required a D/C :cry:. I have also been experiencing post-coital bleeding which has left us feeling confused :confused:. I just need to know whether this is normal or should I be concerned.... not sure if I can handle a 6th M/C :help: Sorry so long!
