How did you spend your time?

Was just wondering how everyone spends their time while their little cherubs are asleep. I've just had our first beautiful bubby, and she is such a good sleeper. The thing is is that there is only so much housework, washing, crappy day-time tv and rest that i can take while she is asleep. I find i'm getting a bit bored waiting for her to wake up so that i can marvel at how perfect she is!

I used to work full-time and thought that i would never have enough time to do everything, now i seem to have too much time. I think i need a hobby! Any Help???!!!

it won't last forever so try to enjoy it, i would probably spend it reading and relaxing and taking a long bath etc, maybe some exercise outside or an exercise dvd, oh the things i could do.............................. i am so jealous.... honestly try to spend the time on yourself indulging in whatever makes you feel good, as once they get bigger they sleep less and less and make more and more mess so you are always on the back foot...

can i say again how jealous i am!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OH Katie! Make the most of it!! Watch movies you want to watch, eat things you don't want to share, have baths, read books, exercise...and most of all ENJOY it!! :cheer:

You'll look back in a couple of months to this thread and wonder where the time goes!

Congratulations on your little Bub, and you are so lucky to have a good sleeper! Well I like to fold/assemble cloth nappies... very neatly. And BellyBelly is a great way to spend a spare 2 hrs. Baking?

I'm buggared if I can remember what I used to do. By the time I run around doing all the things I need to do without my wakeful velcro child - he's awake again...
If I HAD spare time, I'd spend more one on one time with his sister, I'd scrapbook and sew, I'd exercise - that's what I mss the most.

When DS was a newborn, I used to sleep/cat-nap when he was sleeping. Mainly because he was a 2 hourly feeder so only had short sleeps in between. As he learnt to sleep longer, I used to get some housework done or read.

Now at 17 months, he has 1 big sleep of about 2-3 hours in the afternoon, so apart from housework, I usually sit down with a cup of tea and check emails, facebook, BB and whatever else I want to browse :)

Enjoy the free time! Their sleeping habits change so often!

Why not marvel at her while making a scrap book all about her?? She grows / changes sooo much in the first year, make the most of it while you can. Check out spotlight or other stores that have scrapbooking items, get some piccies of your DD and off you go!!

If I have a spare 45 mins I'll do a spin class or some other form of exercise at home, but I'm trying to time when two babies are sleeping lol! Exercise de-stresses me instantly, so if I can't time it with the kids I take them for a long walk up big hills ;).

I was a bit gutted with the sleeping. It didn't last. But I'd read or play computer games or enjoy a hot cuppa.

I really miss those days!
