Lap, dye hysterscope
I am having a lap and dye studies and hysteroscope on CD10. Just wondering if this will bring on AF again so soon after the last? After my lap for ectopic a few days after I started bleeding (and bleed for 8days a week before the surgery) so am wondering if the same will happen this time? Would love to hear others experiences. I am hoping it doesn't interfer to much with my cycle.

Hi Em,
I just had those three procedures on the 5th October, CD 15, I got quite a heavy AF when I woke and for the following 5 or so days after, so I took the date of the Lap as CD1, so I counted it as a new cycle,
They will do a pregnancy test before the procedure

Thanks wouldloveabubba for your reply. I didn't know because Ill be on CD10 (my AF goes for 8days) if Ill get AF straight away again like I did after my ectopic was removed. A pregnancy test wont be neccessary as I ovulate on CD19 usually but I guess its probably a part of their policy to be 100% sure although I know not ttc and so soon after AF I definately wont be pregnant.
Do you know when you can ttc after a lap? I am having one to check my one tube which looked sick 6weeks ago and decide if there is any point continuing to ttc naturally or start IVF. I am also having some birth trauma (from 9yrs ago) removed of my you know what so Ill be out of action in that department for a while.
Thanks again for your reply.

IMO you can ttc when ever you feel ready after a lap. It's a common suggestion that as our tubes have been flushed, and we have had a d&c with the lap, that everything is nice and clear and that makes for an easier conception and implantation.
I O late in a cycle as well, so by CD18, I should be fine to ttc, you will know when you are ready, I certainly didnt want to rush anything, however, I wanted to take advantage of the clean bill of health.
Best of luck with your procedure
