Natural food colouring for kid's food incl birthday cakes

i was searching for a FOOD section to put this under, but coudln't find one.

i'm thinking about this, as bilby is turning three soon. we had no icing on her carrot cake last year, and i WAS going to do the same again, but just read about a brand of natural food colouring, allergy free stuff, called HULLABALOO.

has anyone else used these colours for icing? would you recommend them?

and if you bought them from the Hullabaloo site, what was postage like?

they sell failsafe food as well, so i'm very chuffed to have found this site.

any other brands of natural food colourings you know about?

i found organic smartie looking lollies on twinklelily too, good for decorating a cake.

any other natural things i can use for decorating a cake?

now i just have to decide the theme of the cake LOL.

You can actually get natural food colours from the supermarket...the old school little dropper bottles...they have the regular ones but now also natural colours.
The colours generally won't be as bold as artificial colouring but the benefits go with out saying!

thanks Limey, funnily enough, i was in Coles last night, looking in the food colouring/icing cakes section and i bought a four pack of the type you mention, the "old school" dropper bottles. Nearby were some products i hadn't seen before, by the same company, Queens, individual tube shaped boxes, of icing to WRITE on cakes with, with enough writing on the box about NATURAL stuff, to make me think, they might be safe too.

thanks for Holle link, i knew they made rusks and organic formula, didn't think to try them for anything else - ta.

Anyway, glad you found something - Queens! I couldn't think of the name lol

Limey, i emailed HOLLE and they responded by saying they don't make anything in that line. Nevermind, it was worth a shot.
