confused

hello ladies, im new to this site and have pcos. myself and fiance have been ttc for 6-7 months now but nothing has happened....didnt expect it to really. We went to my GP to get a referal for the womans hospital's clinic i knew they had there. went on the 15th october to see someone who has said for me to have a d & c done after our wedding and for dp to have tests done too. does this seem the usual procedure when first ttc??

september last year i had my period for 6 weeks straight and mum took me to emergency, 2 blood transfusuions later and being prescribed provera i went home. they didnt think it was a miscarriage but im unsure. now it seems history is repeting itself and iv had my period for 3 and a half weeks on and off. has anyone else had this happen??

sorry for the questions ladies but any help would be greatly appreciated

oh yeah and im on the pill aswell and whenever i come off it i start to bleed heavy again. iv lost about 40kg in 2 years so my periods were starting to become regualr

just checking, are you currently taking the contraceptive pill?

hi kate, yes i was put on the pill last year after the hospital stint and on prevera aswell. im on diane

Is your period heavy? After I came off the pill, I pretty much constantly had spotting. Well, I call it spotting, but it was a little heavier than that, not a real peiod though. I was diagnosed with PCOS and given Provera to bring on AF then Metformin and Clomid to help O.

its not very heavy, just there and enough to make me annemic. my gp just put me on primolut n and its seemed to go away. see what happens when i come off that after 10 days (my other half calls em my grumpy pills lol)

I wouldnt have thought that a D & C would be done immediately with ttc. I know with us, we saw our fertility specialist then went for blood tests, had a HSG done to confirm no tubal issues and hubby had a semen analysis. All came back great so we started clomid. A D & C was never mentioned at any point. Not sure if this is due to your amount of bleeding.

hi, iv got an appointment to see a private ob/gyno tomorrow after a long talk with my gp whom i trust alot. he also didnt see the sence in a d & c so will see what happens after i see dr tomorrow. thank god my period has stopped now
