DH and DS are due to return home soon after spending 3mths in Italy. I'm no whiz in the kitchen but I really want to make a special welcome home dinner for them. Please, I need ideas that are simple and not too complicated. Thanks heaps.

Yeah, I was going to suggest thinking about their favourite foods........
What do you think they'll be impressed by? I know with my DH, the food doesn't necessarily have to be five star, but if I do three courses, he's ecstatic LOL. Just easy homemade soup and bread, something yummy for dinner, and then a dessert, and he's in heaven :lol: Alot of that you can do in advance too.
Hmmm, I'll try to think of some nice recipes.....maybe if you let us know what they do/don't like? I think you're lovely to make them a special meal, I'm sure they'll appreciate whatever it is :)
Definately no pasta or pizza lol and actually DH's family are big on fish too. I could do a roast but I just wanted it to be something a bit different but don't know what.

Lamb shanks are yummy DH gets excited when I cook them!!
Honestly they eat anything but 3 courses sounds good. Chocolate pudding for dessert, just leaves entree and main??????
