Eeek help with gift idea!

Hi!

I want to buy a gift for a work 'colleague' for her and for her son for his first birthday.

We are not close (yet) but this is me reaching out and I don't know what to get. I don't have a lot of money to spend but I want to get something that is sort of a congrats on your mummy anniversary and a thanks, i appreciate your support.

As well as one for little tacker. Under $40-$50 for both if I can, but what?!!!

I feel like clothes (for little ones) are tacky presents but thats all i can ever think of! And not chocolates!

Any ideas?

Little boys like trucks?? Or a puzzle.
Maybe a $20 or $30 voucher somewhere for her. Hair dresser or something?

A nice photo frame.
Some ambient perfumers (the bottles with the sticks)

For the little boy maybe some Duplo.

A canvas and some paints and a cute poem to say something about him finger painting a picture for his mummy? He would get the enjoyment of doing it and she would get to hang it up and keep for ever.

A hand plaster cast set? And a voucher for babysitting for her ;)

For mum - Voucher for handmassage/nails perhaps
Nice handcream or candles

For the little one - bath toys, bath crayons, ball, cars. FWIW he will probably have and get heaps, I would focus on the mummy anniversary! (But that may be more about me, lol) ;)

Not sure how you would feel about it - but perhaps instead of a gift for her, maybe take her out for lunch/coffee instead to celebrate. Maybe a cupcake at work for her if she is at work on her son's birthday?

This is such a thoughtful idea too - with my DD's birthday next week I know I would be really touched that someone wanted to celebrate her birthday but more importantly me too!!!

for him what about some puzzles? Cars? Bubbles?

for Mum, some nice bath salts, a nice frame - you know the ones that celebrate MOther and child? Cardiology often have them.

Puzzles or a canvas were my other ideas. I sort of decided not on the canvas because he already goes to daycare so she probably has some nice things that he has already done there, that said i could get something and at least he could do it at home with mummy. I have a couple of days to think about it, thanks for the ideas.

Im still not sure what for mum but i will keep pondering, thanks!!

What about tickets to the zoo so they could have a nice day out together
