Where has my happy baby gone? Advice needed.
Hi there,
I'm at my wit's end. My DD is 7 months old. She used to be the most cruisy baby. Happy most of the time. But since her 6 month needles, she's been very whingy. We rarely had a bad night with her but since then we've had a fair few where she will be up for hours, either crying (most of the time) or playing (which I don't mind so much). She varies how much she's eating but the amount she has been drinking has declined hugely. She has three meals a day between four bottles a day. Her bottles have been a battle lately. I try not to get too stressed about it but when she only has 50ml I worry that she'll be awake all night hungry. She is very close to crawling, pulling herself forward onto all fours, and is starting to pull herself up on things onto her knees and I think I can see her top tooth below the surface (she already has her bottom two which came through without too much of a drama). I just wonder whether it's a combination of teething, disruption due to development and frustration because she can't do what she wants to do. Is there a growth spurt around this time too?! You'd think that I would be fine with all of this because I've done it all before not that long ago but it's amazing what you forget! I'm wondering too how many bottles they should be having at 7 months and whether i should drop her back to three seeing as she's eating her solids quite well. If anyone has any advice or comments or ANYTHING, I'd be grateful. If I know that it's all normal, I can relax and ride it out but I can't help but wonder whether there's something I'm missing. Thanks in advance x Nik
