Getting newborn to sleep with toddler!

So, how do ya do it ladies?

DD (22 mths) tends to be her noisest when I'm trying to get DS (3 mths) to sleep. Regardless if I give her snacks, toys, TV time. I've resorted to going into DS' room and closing the door - yet she still bangs on the door or plays right out the front of it.

I'm trying to spend heaps of time playing with DD so she isn't left out and so she knows she has a special place in the family - and we do have our special outdoors time in the later afternoon in addition to playing inside.

Please part with your tricks to occupy your toddlers :pray:.

I made them have a lay down as well :lol: told them shhh or go to sleep..

Most times I just played it day by day. If bub was going down for thier morning sleep then I would make morning tea co incide with it. I would cuddle bub on the couch (bf to sleep) while Ds2 or 3(been thru it twice with toddler and baby) I would give toddler a snack and turn on a special show that I knew would occupy them. Ds3 wasn't a tv person so used to give him pencils and books.. It seemed to help long enough to let me get the baby to sleep

You know, for me, that has been one of the toughest things to deal with! (when you have a little baby and a toddler). They can be so cheeky when you tell them they need to be quiet. I've had some VERY frustrating moments so know how you feel! I don't have any real answers..Often I just sneak off with the baby and leave DD watching tv..but most of the time she comes to find me :doh:
