just had the worst shopping trip..need to vent!

Grrrrrrrrrrr so far today has been a shocker!

I bundled the boys into the car because i needed to drop into Big W to get some photos developed for my art assignment that's due tomorrow....anyway i get down town and the place is swarming with people..there's a festival on in town so all the main streets were blocked. After 10mins of winding through back streets i finally get to the shopping centre and the carpark is chockers...i mean absolutely 0 parking spaces within 100metres of the shopping centre. So i drove around the car park for 1/2 AN HOUR!!! (yes crazy i know but i really needed those photos) all the while both boys had started screaming at each other and were getting sick of being in a hot car (its terribly humid here). So i finally find a park meant for mum's with prams and some idiot guy with NO kids dives in and gets it! AHHHHHHHHHH then i nearly ran over a group of teenagers who walked out in front of my car and i had to slam on the breaks.. to which DS1 started screaming again so i started screaming at him to stop screaming :lol: (i was pretty stressed by this point lol) and then the teenagers cracked them selves laughing at me for being the 'crazy woman screaming at her kids'.
Anywho i finally got a park, bundled both kids into the double pram which is now too small for them so DS2 was getting squashed and the winging began... got to Big W and the photo machine is running really slow so had to ask DH to pick up the photos later ( which sux because i needed them asap to finish my assignment this arvo).
Anyway in all the confusion i forgot to get bread and DS2 lost a shoe. So off i went back to the car... all was good i just wanted to get home and de-stress. So on my way out of the car park i give way to a truck at the round about.. well the truck was taking its time but i decided to wait for it..after all i have 2 little kids in the back so i figure its safer to just wait for it.... then this horrible lady behind me starts abusing me and screaming at me to move! Ahhhhhh well i'm not proud of it but i lost my lollie... i turned around and said 'are you f@*king talking to me?' she then continues to scream at me so i gave her the bird and drove off....so she followed me and kept screaming at me out the window! What a psycho!! The poor old couple in the car in front of me where freaking out and started to slow right down so the horrible woman behind me started driving like a maniac trying to get round us.. i yelled at her to stop driving like an idiot (there might have been a few more words in there lol) and so she followed me a few more streets and then sped off....what the hell!? Anyway i was fuming and shaking all the way home...and my poor boys where repeating the F and S words they'd just heard me say.
I feel so bad for losing my lollie in front of the kids, definitely a bad mummy moment.
Anyway just needed to vent. pheeeeew! what a day!

Aw, you poor girl, I dont think any of that is your fault. That guy shouldnt have parked there, and some people dont know how to be curtious drivers! Hope the rest of your day goes better :hug:

some times its is so hard to keep your cool!!! im sure it happens to everyone even if some dont admit it! sounds like it was a shocker of a morning for you!!!

:hug: It does sound like a bad day so far. I hope it improves. It seems like the traffic chaos got to others as well - it's amazing the snowball effect that can happen.

We all lose it in front of our kids at some time, so try not to feel too bad.

My DP reckons we should fit our car with a 'crying baby" alarm which broadcasts DD's screams - that way everyone would give way to us! Reckon you could've used one of those today :lol:

LOL at the baby scream broadcaster. Wait until you have a baby and a toddler screaming in the car at the same time!

Oh dear!! I just just feel the stress and frustration in your post, I don't blame you for losing it (I have lost it for less, and in front of Jazz, so don't feel too bad, sometimes it happens :hug:).

:rofl: i love the baby scream broadcaster idea! my boys are soooooooooooo loud especially when they both get going! i reckon if the woman could have heard the racket my boys were making she wouldn't have dared said anything :lol:Thanks for the kind words everyone ;) today has been a better day... mainly because i'm staying home where it isn't too crazy (other than the norm lol).

seriously though i do feel bad for losing it. I was no better than the horrible woman.. i must have looked a sight yelling back at her out the car window :lol: oh well you live and learn i guess. As my hubby always says, its just another stressful day i'll never have to live again, he's such a wise owl ;)

its amazing what road rage and stress does to people, after i left my park yesterday a lady in another car started abusing an old couple for stealing her park...then again the mood i was in i might have done the same!
