you could try a metal sive maybe? and push it through with a fork?
I have done it in the past with a metal strainer/sieve. It's harder work ;) but it does the job.

Hahahaha Mrs Hendo, nah no hassles lol, just trying to make it work LOL!
They're a bit clunky & big for storing, but I reckon my potato ricer (a metal one), is one of my best investments for cooking. Awesome for gnocchi (obviously), but also for just plain old mashed spud. And easier to clean than a sieve IMHO. Christmas is coming too:lol:
Good for playdough pressing too.. so multi-function really
