Windows..

My windows and glass sliding doors REALLY need to be cleaned.. what do you use to clean your windows/doors?

I was thinking soapy water?? :lol:

windex, lots of rags and heaps of arm power.

my DH and other friends swear by cleaning windows with newspaper and windex.

I should be doing mine too, but too many windows:rolleyes:

Very hot soapy water if they are reallllly dirty, very hot water with vinegar if it's just normal kind of dirt & smearing. The trick is to have the water HOT, also if you can get one of those glass things which scrapes the water off (I can't think what they are called :doh:) I am a big fan of vinegar for most cleaning stuff ;)

Thanks for the replies - I tried windex (and always use newspaper with it) but it didn't seem to clean them... might give the vinegar and hot water a go, thanks jasp!

Yep, I find windex ok if it's just a couple of spots but I always leave mine too long :redface:

Newspaper is not the best thing these days as the print has changed. Years ago the ink was great for cleaning windows, now it can make them streaky.

I cleaned mine yesterday. I used hot soapy water because they were feral then used a squeegy (SP?) to get it off but it left streaks so I went over them with my microfibre window cloth and htey are now crystal clear.

I clean the inside windows and mirrors with vinegar and newspaper.

I clean the glass door with vinegar/water and paper towel. I often have to clean off window texta drawings.
